Each of us – all of us – generate health data. These data are created during doctor visits, hospital stays, as well as through step counters, blood pressure monitors, or at the pharmacy. Currently, these data are stored in various data silos. We cannot access or use them – we have no control over what happens with our data.

Our vision is a personal, secure health data account where our data can be collected and organized in a high-quality, structured, and standardized way to provide value.

We can control our health data for our personal treatment (primary use) and make it available for societal benefit (secondary use) in the Health Data Space Switzerland, in a controlled and anonymized manner.

On our exciting expedition into the health data space, you will gain insight into how your data can be useful to you and how, once anonymized and randomized, it can contribute to third parties, research, and the redesign of our healthcare system.

The Health Data Space Switzerland Association is committed to consistently implementing the vision of a human-centered digitization of the Swiss healthcare system.

We explicitly want to enable premium and taxpayers to actively contribute to building the Health Data Space Switzerland and acquire the necessary skills to read, understand, securely store, analyze, and communicate their own data.
